How we vet
Hiring security still runs on “my guy knows a guy.” Here is exactly what we check, so you don’t have to.
Every firm is licensed
Only companies licensed by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) may provide guarding for pay. Before a firm joins, we check:
- its NSCDC licence and number, verified with the NSCDC
- its CAC registration
- its office, in person or on a video call
- references from at least two recent clients
Every guard is checked
Individual bodyguards work under a licensed partner firm. Each one passes:
- identity check against their NIN
- police clearance certificate
- two guarantors we contact ourselves
- discharge papers, for ex-military or ex-police
- an interview and a physical assessment
Your payment is held
When you pay, the money stays with Olùṣọ́. The provider is paid only after the job is done and you’ve had 24 hours to tell us about any problem.
No-shows are replaced
If your team hasn’t arrived 15 minutes after the start time, we call the provider. If no one is with you within 60 minutes, we send a replacement team or refund you in full, plus credit for your next booking.
What we don’t do
We provide unarmed protection only. Private guards in Nigeria may not carry firearms, and we don’t arrange police escorts.
